Traverse vs Pilot: Interior Space

Chevy Traverse Interior When looking for a new three-row SUV, you probably want something that is extremely spacious. This way, the whole family can enjoy a comfortable ride, you have extra room for friends, and you can even pack up everyone’s gear and your supplies for the trip.

In the 2020 Honda Pilot, there are eight seats that share 152.9 cubic feet of passenger volume. The 2020 Traverse can also fit up to eight people, but it offers more room for you and your family with 157.3 cubic feet of passenger volume.

You will find extra space throughout the cabin of the 2020 Traverse from its 41.3 inches of headroom in the front row compared to the 40.1 inches in the Pilot and 33.5 inches of legroom in the third row compared to the 31.9 inches in the Pilot.

A Look at Their Engine Performance

Each SUV is powered by a V6 engine. In the Honda Pilot sits a 3.5L V6 engine that produces 280 and 262 lb-ft of torque. Under the hood of the Chevy Traverse is a 3.6L V6 that creates 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque.

Why is that extra power a plus? With its ability to generate more power, the engine in the Traverse gives you overall better performance whether you are accelerating on the highways with a car full of passengers and cargo or need a boost when traveling up hill.

This engine is also paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission for smooth, seamless accelerating and decelerating in the 2020 Chevy Traverse. The Honda Pilot comes with a six-speed automatic transmission, so delivery of its engine power isn’t as smooth and effortless compared to the Traverse.

A More Entertaining Ride

Chevy Traverse Infotainment With all the technology that is featured in the Chevy Traverse, everyone inside this SUV will have a fun, enjoyable time no matter how long the ride is. First, you will be able to connect your smartphone to the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System.

Connect through Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ and see your phone’s interface on the standard 7-inch touchscreen. Then, choose to listen to one of your playlists, put on a podcast, call a friend, or even safely reply to a test message. This also will let you use your navigation app so you can stay on course wherever you are headed.

Then, make sure the kids pack their tablets so they can watch shows or movies during the drive. Thanks to the 4G LTE Wi-Fi® hotspot capability in the 2020 Traverse, they can stay entertained for hours. The 2020 Honda Pilot doesn’t offer any of these features standard. In order to get the same level of enjoyment you’ll have in the Traverse, you will need to upgrade to one of the higher trim levels of the Pilot.

Take a Test Drive in the 2020 Traverse
